NEW! PRENATAL PILATES ON THE REFORMER

This innovative workshop will help you take moms-to-be from traditional
matwork variations to modifications on the reformer. Drawing on the latest
medical information and ACOG guidelines, anatomical and physiological
changes, risk factors and movement considerations will be discussed.
Appropriate STOTT PILATES exercise adaptations will be explored using the
reformer in innovative and beneficial ways. Workouts will be concentrated
on the 2nd trimester concerns, including client's pre-pregnancy fitness
level, health concerns and fitness goals, although considerations for
those in the 1st and 3rd trimester will also be discussed.

In this innovative workshop you will learn to take your client's game to
the next level through this sports conditioning workshop. Improve
strength, power and agility through new variations of familiar exercises
that challenge unilateral movement, weight transference and core
stability. This workshop has a special focus on core as well as arms,
legs, shoulders and hips as well as rotation.
NEW! REFORMER FOR OLDER ADULTS

Lecture/demonstration will explore the benefits of working on the STOTT
pilates reformer for the older adult. Despite documents associated with
aging, the ability to adapt to endurance and strength training is well
documented. Modifications of exercises and considerations for limited
mobility and strength issues will be discussed with a view to enhance core
stability, increase lean muscle mass, increase ROM and improve body
awareness.
NEW! MATWORK FOR BREAST CANCER REHAB

Many more women will survive breast cancer today than ever before. These
women will be encouraged to seek out fitness programs to assist in their
recovery and give them the strength and endurance needed to resume an
active lifestyle. This workshop discusses various types of treatment
including surgeries and reconstruction and the exercise requirements for
each. Programs include matwork based exercises focusing on ROM for the
entire shoulder girdle, establishing mobility, restoring posture, ensuring
proper biomechanics and developing core and peripheral strength to address
muscular imbalances created from surgeries. Exercises incorporate
hand-held toning balls and a towel or small foam cushion to work on low
load strengh and endurance.

total strengthening and conditioning. The exercises will work on improving

learn how to add variety and fun to traditional mat workout routines.

of gentle, very targeted resistance-based Reformer exercises, which
focuses on ROM for the entire shoulder girdle. Other areas of emphasis
will be etablishing mobility, restoring posture, ensuring proper
biomechanics and developing core and peripheral strength to address
muscular inbalances created from various types of surgeries.
